What does it mean to be 'publicly appointed and sworn'?
Sworn translations intended for an office, an authority or a court must be translated by a publicly appointed and sworn in translator.
These translators are appointed by the court (usually regional courts).
Publicly appointed and sworn in translators are translators who have taken an oath before a court, usually a regional court or higher regional court. In accordance with Section 189 (2) GVG, this oath is valid before all federal and state courts.
We are working in accordance with the "Justizvergütungs- und -entschädigungsgesetz" section 11 Fee for Translators.
It is impossible to give an overall price for translations, as there is no fee regulation for translators, nor are there any official guidelines. The price depends on the type of text, language, file format and urgency.
Of course your information and documents are being treated confidentially. Upon request we can sign a nondisclosure agreement.
We work with the translation tool MemoQ and work with files such as Word documents, PDFs and other formats supported by Adobe Creative Cloud.
